A native English speaker doesn't need to speak Farsi to expose double meaning if both sides are trapped by the machine.
If the Iranian clerical regime's PR apparatus relies on the same machine translation engines (Google Translate / commercial MT / LLMs) that Western analysts and influencers use, and our machines are equally wrongβor systematically smoothing over violent theological idiomsβwe have an Achilles heel:
1. Understated Militancy
English translations render high-intensity holy war terms as polite diplomatic boilerplate. Western audiences absorb sanitized propaganda without realizing what was actually commanded in Farsi.
2. Watermarked Coordination
If domestic Western influencers quote or paraphrase Iranian statements with the exact idiosyncratic errors or de-escalatory omissions produced by Google Translate, they prove they are drinking from the exact same machine pipe.
Auditing Our Assumptions
We appreciate the time and help of anyone willing to help us audit our assumptions because unlike the people we disagree with we like to know we're right, not to just shout it until oxygen deprivation kicks in.
